So to increase my running times, I have decided to participate monthly on fun runs. Which, I think, I will be able to finish. Here are the runs I participated this year (including distance and chip time) :
1. January 2012: PSE Bull Run - distance: 10k/ chip time: 1hr 26mins
2. February 2012: Condura Skyway Run - distance: 10k/chip time: 1hr 19mins
3. March 2012: Run United 1 - distance: 10k/chip time: 1hr 26mins
4. April 2012: Yakult 10 miler - distance: 16k/chip time: 2hr 36mins
5. May 2012: La Union Ku Ikaika Marathon - distance: 10k/chip time (unofficial): 1hr 30mins
6. June 2012: Merrell Trail Run - distance: 10k/chip time (unofficial): 5hrs
7. June 2012: Run United 2 - distance: 10k/chip time: 1hr 20mins
8. July 2012: Milo Marathon Manila Eliminations - distance: 10k/chip time (unofficial - because they displayed the wrong time): 1hr 17mins
9. August 2012: Regent Fun Run - distance: 16k/chip time: 2hrs 16mins
10. September 2012: Run United 3 - distance: 21k/chip time: 2 hrs 41mins
11. October 2012: The Pink Run - distance: 15k/chip time: 1hr 41mins
12. October 2012: Run United Philippine Marathon - distance: 21k/chip time: 2hrs 37mins
As you can see I started veeeerry, verry slow. I even walked on some runs (especially on the Merrell Trail run where in I walked from start to finish, pretty pretty lame). I started the non-walking regime at the Milo Marathon Run. I am proud of the improvement but I don't want to be comfortable with it. My 10k now is at 1hr 12mins average but I have to speed up. So I made another goal, since I can comfortably finish the 21k, I have to push myself.
The Milo Marathon National Finals will only give medals to 21k finishers who could finish the race in 2hrs and 30mins or less. I want to get the medal. This will be my year-end goal. So to finish and to cap off the year, I will be participating in the following runs.
13. November 2012: Tetra Pak Run - distance: 21k
14. December 2012: Quezon City International Marathon - distance: 21k
15. December 2012: Milo Marathon National Finals - distance: 21k
To be honest, I don't really think I will be getting the Milo Medal. But knowing that I could not get it, makes me wanna train some more.
Aja aja we can do this! :)
